A sequined look for any occasion, budget and size
In the upcoming rom-com “The Lost City,” which hits the big screen on March 25th, Sandra Bullock co-stars as Loretta Sage, a reclusive author who writes adventure novels based in exotic places featuring a handsome cover model named Alan (Channing Tatum). While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta gets kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe), who is in search of lost treasure from the author’s latest novel.
Courtesy of costume designer Marlene Stewart, Bullock’s quirky character is chicly dressed in a purple sequin jumpsuit for the journey. The glitzy outfit will surely ignite a flurry of fashion trends with the sparkly embellishment taking center stage.
As a nod to Loretta Sage’s style in the film, we’ve found three fashionable looks featuring a sequined look that will work at the office, brunch with friends and a night out on the town for a date.
At the Office
A staple that every chic fashionista should have in her wardrobe is a pencil skirt. Why not wear the dressed up version like the Rotate Tasha Sequin Skirt in a teal hue called Biscay Bay. Pair with a white t-shirt and tuxedo blazer for a girl boss look.
Brunch with the BFFs
Just because you’re hanging with the girls, doesn’t mean you have to skip on style. Don a jumpsuit like Generation Love Madison Sequin Jumpsuit that can be worn anywhere from a French bistro to Mexican cantina. Pair it with super cute sandals or ballet flats for casual flair.
Night Out on the Town
Whether its date night or girl’s night out, there’s no better way to jazz up an evening look than with sequins like the Retrofete Gabrielle velvet-trimmed sequined chiffon wrap mini dress.
