Amelia Walsh has been paving her way in the fashion scene for more than 15 years. While admiring her mothers work on the wedding dresses she made while growing up, her mom trained her in techniques and hand details that involved sewing high-end couture gowns. She incorporated those skills later in life with formal education and received a degree in both design and business.
While finalizing her education, Amelia started making a name for herself as a headlining designer in Scottsdale Fashion Week during 2008, 2009 and 2010. So Scottsdale Magazine later recognized Amelia as one of the top five designers in Arizona and the most Influential Person in Fashion. It was after then her professional career started climbing forward, first starting as a designer for an eco-friendly accessory company, then as a PR and Marketing Director of a luxury denim company. During this time she was growing her backstage runway experience with Margaret Merritt Productions, working with designers and stores including Badgley Mischka, Monique Lhuillier, The Row and Neiman Marcus, to name a few.
In 2016, Amelia launched The Marry Mart, to showcase local artists in the wedding industry, ranging from bridal gown designers and stylists to wedding photographers and videographers. Amelia most recently signed on as an adjunct professor at Arizona State University in Fashion Construction. She aims to make an impact in the fashion community by educating future fashion professionals of the most modern practices in design, while still maintaining the value of fashion as an art form and fulfilling this message in her own design practices for the current lines she designs for as well.
