From a runway show with marionette models to a house party in an Italian villa

Fashion week and runway shows have long been the preferred showcase of designers and fashion houses when it came to presenting new collections and collaborations. But along with the fanfare and cachet of attending a fashion show in New York, Paris, London or Milan—if you’re so lucky—there was inevitably the downside such as crowded tents, long lines, and shows that didn’t start on time. There is, however, an alternative that allows for creativity—producing a film fashion ad. To be honest, the concept really isn’t that novel an idea, after all, commercials were already a thing.

Now, fashion designers have taken the best of both worlds and given us unforgettable fashion movies, in five minutes or less. Here’s a round up of some favorite, most memorable fashion ads to hit our screens, in no particular order.
