Best Short: Time Is Eternal
“We always wanted to screen our film “Time is Eternal” in a museum setting because we feel there is such an important link between fashion, film, art and the historically important female heroins in our film.
When we got accepted to Fashion Fete with an invitation to screen at the Phoenix Art Museum this dream magically came true. We were overjoyed to be selected by a festival that truly recognizes the artistic merits of fashion film. When we then won “Best Short Film” we were in heaven and it was truly one of the most gratifying highlights of our journey of making the film.” — Directors Daniel M. Lir and Bayou Bennett
A prestigious feminine writer examines in her most recent novel what it means to be a woman across history and conjures up Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt and fierce feminine writer, and philosopher Mary Wollstonecraft (mother of Mary Shelley, author of Frankenstein) who have crossed deserts of eternal time to meet. The women materialize into her present time environment and recount their greatest victories, defeats, loves, regrets and dreams.
